About

Photography by Pawel Czerwinski

I am a communications leader, writer, content creator and educator with 25+ years of domestic and international B2B and B2C leadership experience aligning organizational vision and communications across conventional and digital platforms, and in communicating the importance of that alignment to others.

I have spent much of my career working to build stakeholder relationships, manage issues, market products and build community relationships around the world.  Now, I'm applying my writing and storytelling skills to creating content that informs and educates others about these subjects.

— If you deal with important concepts such as healthcare, technology, science / R&D, and teacher education / academic program evaluation, and...
— If you want a content creator who can analyze and write compellingly about those concepts because she has lived them

Get in touch with me. I'd like to talk about working with you.

I serve on behalf of my Professional Association, the Public Relations Society of as part-time director of the Certified in Public Relations (CEPR) program that certifies collegiate public relations programs around the world, based on eight global standards.

I feel fortunate to have honed my expertise through working in a variety of industries—manufacturing, scientific, transportation, academia, nonprofit, government, higher education administration and healthcare. Prior to my academic career, I served as Division Chair, Community Public Affairs at Mayo Clinic, and held the rank of Assistant Professor of Biomedical Communication.
I previously served as Vice President for University and Public Affairs at the University of North Dakota, which included serving as project manager for the University’s initiative to retire its “Fighting Sioux” nickname and logo. I also oversaw R&D communications for Dow Chemical.
